National Baseball Congress World Series Information

Game #1: (August 3rd) Tied 1-1 going into the seventh inning, the Ozark Generals scored two runs in the top of the 7th to defeat the Junction City (KS) Generals 3-2.

Game #2: (August 7th) It was a wild game with the Generals committing 5 errors and scoring 14 runs, but they needed all of them beating the Conejo (CA) Oaks 14-13.

Game #3: (August 10th) Ozark used 12 hits and took advantage of five Anchorage (AK) errors to take a 9-3 win over the Glacier Pilots on Sunday.

The Generals (3-0) will play the Santa Barbara (CA) Foresters (3-0) on Monday, August 11th. The Foresters have out scored opponents by 20, 12, and 11 runs in consecutive games.

Game #4: (August 11th) Trailing 5-2, the Ozark Generals scored 3 runs in the top of the 8th inning, but could not get any closer as the Santa Barbara (CA) Foresters squeaked out a 6-5 win.

 

The Generals (3-1) will play the Seattle (WA) Studs in the quarterfinals on Wednesday, August 13th at 10:30pm central time.

Game #5: (August 13th) The Ozark Generals run through the NBC World Series ended with a 6-1 loss to the Seattle (WA) Studs. Seattle scored one run in the 1st inning, three in the 2nd, and two in the 3rd and never looked back. Ozark finishes 3-2 in tournament play.

Update: The Studs beat the Beatrice (NE) Bruins 4-1 on Thursday, August 14th and faced the Santa Barbara (CA) Foresters in the championship game. Santa Barbara won the 74th NBC World Series Championship 2-0 on Friday August 15th.
